I just want to say that I think it's a TRAVESTY that scans_daily was shut down on lj. I didn't start reading or enjoying comics until I discovered s_d about 3 years ago, and now I'm hooked. I often got my ideas for what to buy from s_d. Some people may say that that's a problem, because it limited what I bought, but in fact it expanded it, because without s_d I was always too intimidated by the thousands of titles/subplots/craziness to buy any of it. (ad I buy online, because I live in a town with no comic book stores, so it wasn't as though I could go peruse the comics before I bought them to see which ones I liked.) With s_d I could figure out which comic had the plot I was interested in and follow it.

Plus, it had great, funny, down to earth people. And it had a bunch of us gals, which I thought was a great asset.
